Skyrim can you save thonars wife

Are the Silver Bloods bad? What race is native to Skyrim? Should you kill Madanach? What happens if I side with Madanach? Do I get my stuff back after Cidhna mine? Can you save Betrid silver-blood? Can you kill all guards in Skyrim? Does Thonars wife have to die? This doesn't work either. Anyway, I've just managed to complete this quest without dealing with Thonar, so it's not necessary after all.

Guess I'll just have to live with that missing objective in my quest log :P. This is late I know but to anyone still having this problem what I did was I attacked Thonar just out of frustration Then his wife Betrid got hostile, I killed her.

Killed Thonar to where he just kneels down because he is essential. Left the building then came right back in and he worked after.
